About Accreditation

Accreditation is often viewed as the gold standard of educational standards. That’s why Achology partners with the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology in the accrediting process. This alliance ensures our accrediting process is rooted in the real-world applications of psychology and geared to equip students with the wisdom and skills to excel in their respective fields of expertise.

Our objective at Achology is to push our members to become active participants in their education, recognizing that certification alone is not an indication of skill. Peer-Peer Applied
Learning Sessions
(PALS)

Through participation in PALS, aspiring achologists can practice their skills on fellow members, fostering a deeper understanding of the concepts, theories, and methodologies they are learning.

Competency
Improvement Practice

These sessions empower achologists to cultivate practical skills and experiential wisdom through working with individuals who face real challenges and seek new personal growth opportunities. Although they can be difficult, CIPS offer achologists an exceptional avenue to develop extensive competence in their field.

Ethical standards are the guiding principles that empower individuals to consistently make morally sound decisions. Upholding these standards fosters trustworthiness, forming the bedrock for strong relationships and a positive reputation. Adhering to ethical principles equips people to make wise decisions, navigate conflicts, and safeguard the trust bestowed upon them by others.

Our Code of Ethics is rooted in the principles of morality and human virtue. It draws inspiration from the teachings of Aristotle, who emphasized the significance of nurturing virtuous habits to consistently make wise and ethical choices. Aligned with this philosophy, our training aims to guide individuals towards developing strong moral character and the capacity to make ethical decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Honest responses to some of our most commonly asked questions:

Achology offers a wide range of courses in applied psychology, focusing on personal and professional growth. Our approach emphasizes comprehension of complex psychological concepts and their practical application, rather than traditional assessments like exams or grading systems.

Our educational philosophy believes in self-directed learning, encouraging learners to take charge of their own education journey, rather than chasing high exam scores or academic benchmarks.

Courses at Achology delve into deep psychological concepts that require introspection and personal interpretation, making standardised assessments an inadequate measure of progress. For instance, our course on self-awareness encourages learners to reflect on their thoughts and emotions—a deeply personal journey that can’t be quantified by traditional tests.

We place significant emphasis on real-world application of knowledge. Learners are urged to apply theories in their daily lives and professional contexts, promoting experiential learning. This invaluable form of learning is challenging to assess via conventional methods like written exams.

Learning at Achology is a collaborative process. We foster a sense of community and shared growth, an approach ill-suited to individual assessments focused on personal achievement. Our holistic teaching method integrates emotional, mental, and social aspects of psychology, acknowledging the multifaceted nature of human behavior. Traditional assessment methods often fall short in capturing these complexities.

We advocate for lifelong learning, viewing education as a journey, contrasting with the traditional model that relies on assessments. While our non-traditional approach may seem unconventional, it aligns with our ethos of learner-centric education. Still, we acknowledge challenges, such as difficulty in objectively evaluating progress.

However, this approach has its merits. It nurtures a love for learning, reduces exam stress, and empowers learners to apply their knowledge in practical ways. As Albert Einstein said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” At Achology, we strive to instill this mindset, fostering critical thinking, introspection, and continuous learning, beyond the boundaries of traditional assessment.

Traditional education systems often hinge on exams and grades to gauge student progress. However, the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology takes a more holistic approach. We assert that a learner’s potential cannot be defined by numbers or letters—especially in applied psychology, where insight and wisdom are key.

Our philosophy centers around competency development, which encompasses not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical application of this knowledge. Test scores may hint at theoretical understanding, but they don’t necessarily mirror a student’s ability to apply this knowledge practically.

Conventional examination methods primarily assess a student’s memory recall under pressure, which doesn’t necessarily measure their depth of understanding or practical application skills. In applied psychology, wisdom—an in-depth understanding leading to sound decision-making—and insight—an accurate and deep comprehension of a psychological situation—are paramount. These attributes stem from experience and practice, not from memorizing theories or models.

Traditional examination methods often overlook these nuances. They focus on knowledge acquisition rather than application, potentially stifling creative thinking and problem-solving. Moreover, they may not accurately capture a student’s progress or engagement level over time.

Contrastingly, the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology provides a curriculum that arms students with the skills, mindsets, and values to make a positive impact in the world. Our educational model fosters an environment where students can discover their purpose, express creativity, grow personally, and tackle global issues.

At Achology, we believe in the potential of every individual to create positive change. Our mission is to equip students with the tools and experiences needed to realize this potential. By fostering a love for learning, we aim to shape modern leaders who will leave a lasting impression on the world. And for that, no certifications are required.

Securing accreditation from the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology, or Achology, is more than just a certificate—it’s a testament to your practical skills and insights in applied psychology. This isn’t achieved by merely completing a course but through active membership, participation in skill development sessions, and engagement with our vibrant Achology community.

Our unique blend of traditional coursework, hands-on skill sessions, and community interaction forms the backbone of our educational model. At Achology, we believe in the power of experiential learning, ensuring our learners grasp not just theory but its real-world application.

Skill development sessions are pivotal to this curriculum. They provide a platform for learners to apply their knowledge, learn from errors, and refine their understanding under professional guidance. Without active membership, these crucial sessions—integral to earning accreditation—remain inaccessible.

Community engagement is another cornerstone in our learning model. Through membership, learners tap into an international network of students, mentors, and experts, enriching their understanding of applied psychology with real-life insights. This collaborative approach enhances formal learning, making it a comprehensive, practical experience.

Therefore, achieving Achology accreditation goes beyond course completion. It involves immersing oneself in the learning journey, actively participating in skill sessions, and engaging with our dynamic community. This holistic approach ensures learners gain a deep, practical grasp of modern applied psychology, prepping them for success.

In essence, active membership is key to unlocking Achology accreditation. It unlocks a wealth of resources, experiences, and opportunities essential for comprehensive learning and skill development. Though the cost may seem daunting, the value it offers in learning opportunities and potential for growth far outweighs the investment.

Accreditation can be an arduous process, a seal of approval given by Achology to the Practitioner level training courses within the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology. Achology accreditation signifies that the education provided meets certain quality standards and is found to deliver on its educational promises.

But how does accreditation connect to skill development? Well, that’s where the true value of accreditation lies. Accreditation ensures that the curriculum of a course is not just informative, but transformative. It’s not about cramming facts into your head—it’s about facilitating personal growth. It’s about equipping you with the knowledge and skills that can be applied in real-world situations, skills that are transferable and adaptable.

When a course is Achology accredited, it means the content is relevant, up-to-date, and geared towards practical application. It means that the course has been designed with your growth in mind, focusing on teaching you valuable skills that will help you advance in your career and enhance your life.

Moreover, Achology accreditation isn’t just a one-time event. It involves our members delivering a pre-required number of practice and competency development hours to further fuels your skill development and growth.

In short, accreditation equates to skill development by guaranteeing the caliber of the education you receive, and also in the degree of competency you are capable of delivering. It’s a promise that your time and effort will yield more than just a certificate—it will result in tangible skills and knowledge that other people can find value in.

Investing in an accredited course isn’t just about gaining credentials—it’s about empowering yourself with skills and knowledge that make a difference in your life and the lives of others. So, when you choose an accredited course, you’re choosing to prioritize your growth and development. You’re choosing to invest in your future.

Understanding the variations between Achology’s certifications—Certificates of Course Completion and Certificates of Achievement—is vital for your educational journey. Each reflects different levels of engagement with our course material and learning community, underlining your commitment to personal growth.

Certificates of Course Completion are awarded when learners successfully complete all modules of a specific course. This signifies that you’ve grasped the course content and exhibited basic understanding. However, it doesn’t necessarily imply mastery or proficiency in the field. Even without an active membership, diligent learners can secure this certificate as a testament to their course completion.

On the other hand, earning a Certificate of Achievement involves a deeper engagement within Achology’s peer-peer learning community. It’s awarded to learners who not only complete a course but also show significant expertise in the subject matter through practical applications. This is facilitated via Competency Improvement Practice Sessions (CIPS), Peer-to-Peer Applied Learning Sessions (PALS), and Virtual Achologist Led Training Sessions (VALTS).

CIPS help you refine skills and gain expert insights by applying course methodology on real-life ‘clients’. These sessions present opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge, learn from errors, and improve understanding through hands-on experience and feedback. PALS foster engagement with peers, promoting collaborative learning and shared insights. VALTS, led by experienced Achologists, guide learners through applied psychology’s complexities, providing valuable feedback and insights.

Active membership is crucial for participating in CIPS, PALS, and VALTS. These sessions are integral to our experiential learning approach, designed to equip learners with real-world competencies beyond classroom-based theoretical understanding.

In conclusion, while a Certificate of Course Completion can be earned without active membership, a Certificate of Achievement necessitates a higher level of engagement with Achology’s community and resources. It’s a testament to your understanding of course material and your ability to effectively apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios—making it particularly valuable for those aiming to utilize Achology training professionally.

At Achology, we take pride in offering our learners Certificates of Completion and Certificates of Achievement that never expire. We firmly believe that knowledge is a lifelong asset that stays with you, empowering personal growth and professional development. We understand the importance of recognizing your dedication and commitment to learning, which is why our certificates serve as a testament to your accomplishments.

The Certificate of Course Completion is a testament to your journey through our course material. Like all certifications, it validates your learning journey, but the real value lies in the knowledge you’ve gained. The pursuit of personal growth and knowledge should take precedence over the accumulation of certificates.

Education isn’t just about earning certificates—it’s about genuine growth and learning. At Achology, we provide the platform, peer-learning community infrastructure and resources, but how you interact with them depends on your personal drive and integrity. Some might collect certificates to impress others, but this often leads to a superficial understanding of the subject. True learners focus on developing applicable knowledge and skills.

This brings us to the Certificate of Achievement, awarded to active community members who demonstrate proficiency in their subject. This involves participation in Competency Improvement Practice Sessions (CIPS), Peer-to-Peer Applied Learning Sessions (PALS), and Virtual Achologist-Led Training Sessions (VALTS). It aligns with Achology’s emphasis on skill development—skills that are transferable across various professional domains.

In conclusion, Achology’s non-expiring certifications underscore the lasting value of the knowledge and skills gained through our courses. It promotes continuous learning and emphasizes the importance of practical application. Remember, the goal of learning isn’t just to acquire certificates—it’s to cultivate skills and knowledge that can be effectively applied in real-world contexts.

At Achology, we're here to help you understand your psychology. We host a collaborative online community space for those seeking to drive positive upgrades within themselves, their careers, and the communities they engage with.

"For education to be effective, every student must have a personalised learning experience. Achology brings together people, content, technology, diverse cultures, and strategies, all with the goal of fostering deep collaboration between students and creating an inclusive environment for everyone involved."
